One of the first documents we created when we began was that of Belong’s values. It wasn’t a business plan, a hiring plan or anything like that. We know it sounds crazy, but it’s true. From the experience we gained growing our previous startups, we knew that building something based on shared values is the only way to feel proud of our successes and not lose sleep over our failures.

I remember being sick with anxiety and worry before my board exams. My father came back home, saw me miserable and told me that exams aren’t worth the stress. He said that what is important is that I do something with passion and excel in it - “Be a gardener but make sure that you’re the best one out there… create gardens that you are proud of”.
